Jim Ambrosini is a managing director with CohnReznick Advisory Group who leads its cybersecurity and technology assurance service offerings. He has more than 20 years of experience in information security and technology and is focused on helping clients manage their technology assets effectively and securely. His team specializes in analyzing technology infrastructure, evaluating cyber threats, developing strategic plans, and assessing network and web vulnerabilities.

Jim's client experience includes conducting strategic IT risk assessments to identify cost and risk drivers; critical vulnerability and cybersecurity program assessments to assess security postures; digital privacy assessments to determine the adequacy of tools and programs in place to protect customer data; and infrastructure vulnerability assessments to identify network and web vulnerabilities.

His team of IT professionals also possess expertise in performing cybersecurity and IT risk assessments designed to identify significant improvement opportunities within applications, infrastructure, IT processes, and IT departments and create remediation plans. Their extensive knowledge of best practices and standards is leveraged to help clients strategically align IT systems with business drivers, threats, and their organizational risk tolerance.

Prior to joining CohnReznick, Jim was a director at a global risk management consulting firm where he specialized in the assessment of IT risk and cybersecurity controls. Earlier in his career, he served as a senior manager at a Big Four consulting firm, an information security auditor for a top investment bank, and a programmer and systems analyst for a major financial institution. Jim has taught graduate-level courses on information risk management as an adjunct professor at New York University. Jim is a sought after speaker on the topic of cybersecurity and frequently presents at conferences, has been quoted in numerous publications, and has appeared on major news networks discussing cyber threats.
