This presentation will address what employee expense reimbursements are allowed and which ones are not under the current tax code - including what policies are required to be considered an "Accountable Plan" and what the benefits are to both the contractor and employee under an accountable plan arrangement. The use of per diems for out-of-town jobs in order to reduce the substantiation burden on both the contractor and employee will be explained and the rules surrounding temporary job assignments will also be addressed.
