Kirsten Duffy has worked in the heavy construction industry since graduating high school in the 80's. Starting in the field as a union laborer on the Vogtle Nuclear Power Plant, to graduating from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Construction Management while holding down a full time engineering position on the cable-stayed Talmadge Memorial Bridge, gave her a broad perspective on the construction field before even accepting post college employment. Since then she has been on an RCC dam in Utah, estimated in San Francisco, served as cost/scheduler on two cable stayed bridges, two segmental bridges, cost estimated for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and multiple design build projects. She has led estimating groups on multiple pursuits up to a half billion dollars. Most recently, Kirsten Duffy is the Assistant Chief Estimator at Archer Western in Raleigh NC, a Walsh group company, and leads a team of six plus estimators pursuing heavy highway throughout the Carolinas region.
